We're still here!

Wow, it's been a while since I've posted! Things have been a little crazy for the past few weeks, but seemed to have relaxed a little with the week of Thanksgiving, and hopefully the rest from this week will get us through the next few weeks until Christmas!


This is our Halloween picture of Lucy. . . sorry, we didn't dress up this year! There wasn't an activity at church so we didn't need an outfit for that, and we don't really live in a neighborhood to go Trick or Treating. Lucy didn't seem to notice though and at this age, who knows if she would have actually dressed up or not. . . She had a Noah's Ark Day at preschool and they were all supposed to dress up as an animal. She decided to be a pig - until Noah's Ark Day, when she decided she wanted to be a cat. Sigh. . .

Since Halloween, I have had quite a time with staying healthy. We had a Veteran's Day program at BDS, so I pushed through feeling like crap for weeks because I had to be there to get the kids ready with their music. So I survived the program and it went well, but after two and a half weeks of running a fever, being exhausted, and just not feeling well in general, I finally went to the doctor's and had some blood work done. . . turns out I had mono! So took Monday and Tuesday off from work and have been doing my best to take it easy so I'll be back and ready to go next Monday. I'm feeling a lot better, but still trying not to push too hard - too many programs coming up to be sick anymore!!

However, since I was at home on Tuesday, that meant that I got to go to Lucy's Thanksgiving program at her preschool! Yay! The two year old class was dressed as turkeys and Lucy had been practicing her songs the week before. She also would go around the house, saying, "Gobble, Gobble!" ( Of course, the way she says it is more like "Dobble, Dobble," which only makes it cuter!!!)

And that's what we've been up to lately! I am going to try to be better at blogging over the next month. . . hopefully, I can do the 25 days of photos again for December. It was so much fun last year, as well as a great way to look back and remember everything that happened during such a busy time. (And hopefully, everyone will stay healthy!!)
