Wee Sing!
Lucy likes to listen to her Wee Sing Bible tape and dance around, so here's just a short video showing her. If we only could all be this joyful!

Lucy's 15 month check up
Lucy had her 15 month appointment today. She did very well, even though everything seemed to take FOREVER! I don't know if things took longer this time around, or if she just has so little patience for sitting still that it made everything seem longer . . . oh well. Everything about her looks wonderful. She weighed in at 20.2 lbs and was 29 3/4 in. long. She got her flu shot, her 4th DTaP and her 1st MMR - this was the first time in all her shots where she didn't seem to be immediately fine afterward. (Well, except for those shots she had a two months, but that was such a horrific experience, I try to block that one from my memory!) We went and picked up Baxter from the kennel and so seeing her "Ba ba" along with a three hour nap seemed to do the trick - she's back to herself again!
Lucy's been busy doing new things - she has become a master of making silly faces, which she does frequently. She loves to give kisses to anyone and everyone. She is learning to say new words like "Thank you" ( which sounds like "Dat chew" when she says it) and "More" and a few times, I swear I've heard the word "Want" come out of her mouth. She likes to "help" with everything, from laundry to dishes, to putting things away. She is curious about everything from the water in the toilet bowl to kleenex in a box so we are having to keep an even closer eye on her these days because she's so quick to get into anything and everything. She likes to dig through my purse and this morning she got a hold of her Daddy's wallet, pulled out the debit card and held it out as if to say, "Charge it, please!" She is learning way too early about those things. . . .
I will have to post later about our trip to the beach, but we had such a wonderful relaxing time as a family. :) Check back later to hear about that!

Super Lucy!!
It's break!!!!
Today is my first official day of fall break! It has seemed like the LONGEST 9 weeks but vacation is finally here! Lucy and I are already enjoying our time together. She woke up about 6:30 this morning ( I would have preferred to sleep later, but oh well!) and had breakfast and played. Then at 8:30, she was ready for a nap! That gave me time to get a little work done before we went with Michael and the Primetimers from church to lunch at Red Lobster. Lucy loved getting to visit with everyone and especially loved the cheese biscuits! She also liked looking in the lobster tank. Now we're back at home, playing away. The video above is Lucy's latest accomplishment - stacking! She loves to sit with her megablocks and stack them together. Sometimes she is better at it than other times, but she can will occupy herself with this task for about 10 minutes . . . which a LONG time for Miss Lucy to stay interested in anything!!
We are looking forward to our trip to the beach next week for a quick visit with family, some fun in the sun, a visit with the Shealy family, and of course, making Daddy get in the pool and the ocean! :)

The sweetest girl I know
Lucy's new thing is to give out kisses! She will blow kisses and wave to people and poke out her lips and give kisses to those who ask. Michael took her to the MRLEC (Mills River Life Enrichment Center for those of you who don't know) sockhop fundraiser last Thursday and Lucy went from person to person, loving on them. And then tonight, after putting Lucy's pajamas on, she reached her hands up to my face, said "Mama" and poked her lips out for a kiss, and then wrapped her arms around me and squealed and gave me a hug. Needless to say, that made my day, my week, my month and my year. . . Being "Lucy's Mom" is the greatest thing in the world!!
Who wouldn't want a kiss from this face?
Playtime Photos
Lucy wanted to play outside this evening when we got home from youth choir. She had a good time exploring all over the front yard, and the weather this afternoon was BEAUTIFUL so it was a great day to be outdoors. Here are a few pictures from this afternoon - I took a BUNCH, but my camera's autofocus seems to be off, so they aren't the best, but you can still appreciate Lucy's adventures! :)
Sitting in the driveway, playing with acorns
(No, she isn't eating them - she's just chewing her
fingers since I left her "MiMi" in the house)

Playing outside is FUN!
