A Michael Flack Face!!! :)

Bath time videos!

These are two videos of bathtime on Saturday. Lucy has discovered splashing and has such a good time in the bath. In the second video I was hoping she would show you how she cries every time you take her out of the bath tub (Since that is what she has done EVERY other time!), but sadly, she didn't feel like it that evening. You can see how she is disappointed that the water has disappeared though. :)

Could this little girl get any cuter?

I have to say that I am thoroughly enjoying life with a seven month old! :) Lucy is sitting on her own so well and she loves to play. She reaches and grabs for everything and it almost always makes its way to her mouth. While she doesn't have any teeth yet, they must be coming any day now the way she chews on everything. She loves to eat - the girl hasn't met a food yet that she doesn't like! She smiles and laughs and is happy almost all the time. She flirts with anyone and everyone who walks by. She loves to talk to the "baby in the mirror" and will set for a long time waving at and "Playing" with her reflection. She LOVES Baxter and laughs and reaches for him all the time. He is so good with her and will let her pet him. She is beginning to give kisses now and while they are slobbery messes, they are the best kisses in the world!

Lucy loves her bath time. She has started to splash in her duck tub and loves to play. She always wants a washcloth to play with in the tub and last night during bathtime she tried to drink the bathwater. No, we didn't let her drink the water but it's so cute to see her expressions as her brain thinks "Hmm . .. what will happen if I do this??" At the end of bath time she always cries because she doesn't want it to end. It's so cute!

This morning when I left for work was the first time she has cried as I was walking out the door. I told her bye and walked away and she cried and started reaching for me. It was so hard to leave and if I hadn't been leaving her home with Michael, I'm not sure how I would have left!! I was so glad that school dismissed at 1:00 today so I could get home to her!

Every day with Lucy is a new adventure. She is so full of joy, excitement, curiosity, and love and our lives are so richly blessed by every moment with her. I look forward to all the exciting things to come but at the same time, I want to freeze this moment in time and treasure it because she is growing so quickly. How I got so lucky, I'll never know but I am so thankful for my sweet girl!

Seven months old!

Lucy's getting bigger every day! She loves to sit on her own and is trying her best to figure out how to move from one place to another. If you've got something she wants within her reach - watch out! She's going to get a hold of it! She loves to eat EVERYTHING - we haven't found a fruit or vegetable yet that she flat out refuses. She still prefers her carrots and peaches over any other foods though.

My Friday afternoon view

When I came home from work, Friday afternoon, no one was waiting for me in the den. I heard talking and walked to the living room - and there was Uncle David and Lucy, having "tummy time." It was so sweet I had to take a picture! :)

Another video!

I know, I know - I've put a lot of videos of Lucy on here lately. This one is of her newest fascination -her tongue! She makes the funniest faces! Hope you enjoy! Also, there are a few new pictures in the 6 month folder. :)

Play Time!

Lucy loves playing in her Exersaucer from Santa. She gets so excited while she's playing that she'll wiggle and dance all around. The video below shows some of it but Lucy got a little camera shy - hope you enjoy!

While eating tonight, Lucy decided she wanted to feed herself. She LOVES carrots and apparently, I could not move the spoon fast enough! She had a good time, even though it was a big mess! The video was taken towards the end of dinner - you can see more pictures in the 6 month folder.

Going back to work this week has been fine. Things at school have been so busy, that I don't have time during the day to realize how much I miss Lucy. Leaving this morning though was difficult because she was awake and ready to play. I am looking forward to the weekend so that we can spend time together!

Happy New Year!

I can't believe it's already 2010! What a year 2009 was . . . everything has changed since Lucy got here! (For the better of course!) She has grown so much and it has been such an adventure every day to see what new things she will learn. I am sad to see 2010 arrive though, because that means that I have to go back to work. I know that Lucy and Daddy will have a great two months, but I am sad. Of course, getting a paycheck again will be a great thing! :)

We had a busy Christmas week. We went to Mama Mae's house, Mimi's house, Great-Granddaddy and Great-Grandmommy's house, Pappy and Gramma's house, and Poppa and Grammy's house. While it was wonderful to get to see everyone, all the excitement and people and new places have worn this poor little girl out! She caught a virus and ran a fever on Monday night and since then has been a poor eater and poor sleeper. It hasn't been until today that my happy little girl has reappeared! Being back at home has seemed to work wonders for her - she is back to eating better and is playing more. Her Daddy and I hope that she will sleep all night tonight! :)

Uncle David gave Lucy a new bathtub for Christmas which she LOVES! Here are a few pictures - you can see the rest in the 6 month folder.

Sitting in our Duck bath
Yay for bathtime!

Where did the water go??
