Beach trip . . .finally!

It has been quite a while since we went to the beach, but here are a few highlights from our trip. It was a wonderful, relaxing time which we all needed!

Running around in the backyard . . .Lucy had the best time playing outside!

Checking on the flowers!

We got to see my college roommate, Carissa and her husband Cy, and sweet daughter, Gemma! It was so great to get to see them and hopefully, Lucy didn't scare the Shealys too much about all the fun you can have with a 15 month old! :)

Lucy loved the frog at the beach house . . she loved to talk to him and climb on him!

Reading a good book at the beach - something all the Alexanders and Flacks enjoy!

Lucy loved to go swimming in the pool. We went almost every morning and splashed and played for about 30 minutes. . .until Lucy announced she was done and then went back home.

Lucy would ask to "jump" when we were swimming - which means to throw her up in the air and catch her. And she LOVED playing with her Daddy! :)

Lucy really seemed to like the beach. She wasn't afraid of the ocean, but enjoyed her time on the sand more!

Lucy played in the sand with her Poppa. He would fill her bucket up with water and she would splash and play. She's staring up at him in this picture.

We took Lucy down to feed the ducks (and the turtles and the fish). She wasn't too excited about it though. . .she ate her piece of bread to throw to the ducks! Oh well, maybe next year!

Lucy had a great time playing in the house, running back and forth from the living room, around the dining room table, into the kitchen, down the hall and back again. One afternoon, she decided to take her Pig and Bunny around her path, talking to them as she went. I like to think that she was telling them all about the fun she had playing at the beach! :)

We bought Lucy's Halloween costume at the "Once Upon a Child" consignment shop in Myrtle Beach. She pulled it out of the bag one afternoon and wanted to put it on. . .so we did! She spent quite a bit of time dancing around in her outfit. Thankfully, this helped distract her daddy from watching those pitiful Panthers on tv.

Sunday afternoon, I told Lucy we would go outside for a walk. However, we opened the door and it was pouring down rain! But once you tell Lucy something, you better follow through! So we stripped her down to her diaper and out we went! She had a good time, as you can tell!

If you want to see more pictures from our trip (believe me, there are plenty!), you can go HERE.
